Worst Moment In Music
- There was a time where Nora really wanted to make an album of just violin and piano. Nora was looking for a pianist to do it, but she could not find one. Either the pianist was not available, the pianist does not want to do it, or Nora could not afford the pianist. Nora ended up not doing it at all. Nora was really getting deep into how she wanted the whole thing to sound. But then Nora figured out that sometimes you just have to wait for the right time to do certain things, and just because you can’t do it right when you want to do it, it doesn’t mean that it’s not a great idea and that it won’t happen sometime in the future.
Musical Lightbulb Moment
- It was when Arturo Sandoval invited Nora to watch one of his shows. Nora always knew that he was a multi instrumentalist. Arturo is a great piano player, and a wonderful percussionist, but Nora did not expect Arturo opening the show by just scatting “Anthropology” with the Big Band. Nora was impressed with Arturo breaking out of any kind of role. Nora hopes that she can use that kind of mentality on her next upcoming concerts.
